Crash alert: Fatal pickup truck crash in Cass County
AVOCA, NE – Police say a man was thrown from his pickup truck and killed in an accident in Cass County Saturday morning.
According to a report by the Omaha World Herald, the incident was reported at about 6:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 34 near 132nd Street. Investigators said 45-year-old Tadd M. Balfour of Lincoln was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck eastbound on the highway when the vehicle went off the road, into a ditch and rolled over. Despite efforts to revive him, Balfour was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local emergency crews responded to the accident, along with the Nebraska State Patrol and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
