Crash alert: Construction zone accident leaves woman injured
MURRAY, NE – A woman was hospitalized after two vehicles crashed at a construction zone in Cass County last week, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The county sheriff said 24-year-old Tristan Brodersen was driving a Lincoln Mark VIII at a high rate of speed in the construction zone when he rear-ended a Ford Flex driven by 51-year-old Brian Begemann.
A passenger in the Ford Flex, 45-year-old Joyce Begemann, was hospitalized. Others involved were treated and released at the scene.
Brodersen, of Plattsmouth, was cited by police for several violations, including careless driving and not having children in seat restraints. Authorities said three juveniles were not buckled in the back seat of his vehicle.
