Crash alert: Motorcyclist killed in collision with semi-truck in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Omaha Monday, according to WOWT.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was going west on L Street at about 11 a.m. when they collided with a semi-truck in the intersection with 132nd Street. The driver of the truck finally stopped about a quarter mile from the scene of the accident.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after CPR efforts failed.
Omaha Police are talking with witnesses and trying to determine whether there is any surveillance camera footage from the area that may have captured the fatal incident.
Traffic restrictions were put in place at the accident scene as the investigation began.
