Crash alert: Gage County car crash sends driver to hospital
BEATRICE, NE – A man was injured when his car was involved in a rollover accident in Gage County Wednesday afternoon, News Channel Nebraska reported.
Police say the man was driving just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Sargent Road in north Beatrice when his car went across a median. The vehicle hopped a curb, slammed into a fire hydrant and overturned onto its top.
Police and firefighters arrived to assist the driver and he was transported to an area hospital. No details on his condition are currently available. The cause of the crash is not yet clear.
Northbound traffic on Highway 77 was briefly affected by the incident.
