Crash alert: Lane shut down on street in Kearney for road work
KEARNEY, NE – Drivers are being reminded of road work that has shut down a lane in Kearney this week, the Kearney Hub reported.
The work began Tuesday morning, closing the southbound outer lane of 2nd Avenue between 39th and 38th Streets. Traffic control will be implemented to assist with southbound traffic.
The Kearney Public Works Department and the contractor involved expect the project to be completed Sept. 25, when the outer lane is scheduled to reopen. Motorists are advised to be cautious when driving near the construction zone.
