Crash alert: 3 vehicles involved in collision on I-80 in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – An accident on Interstate 80 in Lincoln Friday afternoon sent two people to the hospital and impacted traffic in the area, WOWT reports.
The Nebraska State Patrol said three vehicles were involved in the crash on I-80 west near the exit for 27th Street at about 3:45 p.m.. Investigators determined that a Chevrolet Impala hit a semi and a trailer, then crashed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Four people inside the vehicles were able to get out safely and two of them were hospitalized with minor injuries, the NSP said.
The accident shut down I-80 for about two hours as traffic was diverted around the crash scene before the highway reopened later in both directions.
