Crash Alert: 1 dead after car collides with semi in Central City
CENTRAL CITY, NE – A man was killed on Friday when his Chevrolet Cobalt collided head-on with a semi truck, KHGI reports.
According to the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevrolet Cobalt driven 44-year-old Eric Johnson crossed the dividing line of US 30 and crashed into a semi driven by 57-year-old Russ Ronk. Police arrived at the scene to find the Cobalt in a ditch and the semi on fire.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Ronk was uninjured.
