Crash Alert: Security guard injured by fleeing shoplifters

OMAHA, NE – A mall security guard is in the hospital after being hit by a pair of suspected shoplifters in a pickup truck on Saturday, News Channel Nebraska reports.

A witness reports that the suspects left Oak View Mall via the Dillard’s exit, pursued by the security guard. The suspects got into a white Ford pickup and struck the guard as they effected their getaway.

Police say that the guard was taken to Bergan Mercy. His condition is unknown at this time.
