Crash alert: 2 injured when semi and pickup collide at Norfolk intersection
NORFOLK, NE – Two people were hospitalized after a semi trailer and a pickup truck collided in Madison County Wednesday night, police said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 24 and Highway 275 in eastern Norfolk at about 8 p.m., according to the Norfolk Daily News. Norfolk Police determined that the semi was making a turn onto Highway 275 when it crashed head-on into a Chevrolet short bed pickup.
Two people in the pickup were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The semi driver was not hurt.
Authorities briefly shut down Highway 275 to clear the semi from the scene.
