Crash alert: Head-on collision in Webster County leaves 2 dead, 1 injured
WEBSTER COUNTY, NE – A head-on crash in south-central Nebraska Monday left two people dead and another critically injured, reports KSNB.
The accident took place in the area of Road 1300 and Highway 4 between Blue Hill and Red Cloud. A witness told investigators that a westbound vehicle was trying to pass a snowplow on Highway 4 at about 12:15 p.m. when it struck an eastbound vehicle, according to the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
The driver of the first vehicle, 74-year-old Teddy Morrow of Cowles, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the second vehicle, 29-year-old Kimberly Mohlman of Red Cloud, died at a Lincoln hospital. Mohlman’s husband, who was driving, was hospitalized in critical condition. The couple’s 3-year-old daughter was not seriously injured.
