Crash alert: Pickup driver crashes into side of hospital building in Hastings
HASTINGS, NE – Police and emergency crews were on the scene in Hastings Friday after a driver crashed into the side of a hospital building and damaged several other vehicles.
The incident happened at the Medical Services Building at Mary Lanning Healthcare, according to the Hastings Tribune.
Officials said the driver of a pickup truck was trying to reverse out of a parking spot when he hit two vehicles behind him. One of those two then struck a third vehicle. The pickup driver pulled forward and sideswiped a fourth vehicle, then crashed into the side of the building.
The driver was taken into the building for treatment, but no details were immediately released on his condition. No one inside the building was hurt. Hastings Police said the driver would not be cited in the crash.
