Crash alert: Driver charged with intentionally causing crash on highway near Scottsbluff
SCOTTSBLUFF, NE – A man is under arrest after authorities say he intentionally caused a crash in Scotts Bluff County on Monday, KOLN reports.
Police and state troopers responded to the scene on Highway 92 near Scottsbluff at about 5:20 p.m. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, 31-year-old Fabian Hernandez was driving an Audi A4 when he struck a Hyundai Santa Fe several times on purpose. The Hyundai overturned from the impact, but no serious injuries were reported.
Hernandez, a resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, was arrested on several charges including willful reckless driving and second-degree assault. Authorities said Hernandez had a protection order issued against him for one of the people who were in the Hyundai.
