Crash alert: Lincoln high school student critically injured in car crash
LINCOLN, NE – A Lincoln high school student was among four people hospitalized following a collision in Lancaster County late Saturday night, the Lincoln Journal-Star reports.
Authorities said the driver of a Chrysler 200 went through a stop sign in the area of Southwest 14th Street and Nebraska 33 at about 11 p.m. and collided with a Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The two vehicles went off the road and into a ditch.
A passenger in the Chrysler, 18-year-old Lincoln Southeast High School student Kennedy Bowles, was listed in critical condition Monday at a hospital in Lincoln. Three other people in the Chrysler were also taken to the hospital, but the county sheriff said he believed the others had been released.
The driver of the pickup, Therese Horner, and her passenger sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
