Crash alert: Collision at Fremont intersection leaves 2 hospitalized
FREMONT, NE – Two people were hospitalized following a crash at an intersection in Fremont on Friday afternoon, the Fremont Tribune reports.
The accident happened in the vicinity of First Street and Bell Street at about 2:30 p.m. Fremont Police said the driver of a Nissan Murano allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Toyota Corolla that was headed east on First Street.
The Nissan went off the road, hitting a street sign and then a residence on East First Street. The 20-year-old driver and a 48-year-old passenger were taken to Methodist Fremont Health for treatment. The driver of the Toyota, a 22-year-old woman, had leg pain but was not taken to the hospital.
